造形についてこだわったところを教えてください。 Which parts of the sculpt did you pay attention to most?

サラサラのロングヘアの重力を感じさせるような流れです。造形的な美しさはもちろん、ヴァンピレラの艶っぽい感じが出せたのではないかと思います。シンプルなデザインながら、胸をトップとして張った布の感じや隙間など、造形的な魅力がぎゅっと詰まっていると思います！

The weightiness and way her long, silky hair flows. I think we did a good job of making not only a beautiful-looking statue but also one that captures the glamorous look of Vampirella. While it has a simple design, the statue is packed with little details, from the way the cloth stretches over her chest to the tiny gaps between her body and outfit.

開発秘話があれば教えてください。 Can you give us any backstory on this product?

ヴァンピレラはなんと、山下しゅんや先生がいつかBISHOUJOにしたいな・・・と思ってくれていたキャラクターとのこと！昨年55周年を迎えたヴァンピレラを、BISHOUJOシリーズの15周年という節目の年に発表出来て嬉しく思います。

Vampirella was apparently a character Shunya Yamashita had always wanted to do a BISHOUJO statue of. Plus, we were incredibly lucky to be able to announce the statue on the 55th anniversary of Vampirella and the 15th anniversary of BISHOUJO.

BISHOUJOシリーズはなんと昨年2024年に15周年を迎えた壽屋のフィギュアシリーズです！こんなに長くフィギュアのシリーズはなかなかなく、メインアーティストである山下しゅんや先生、そして世界中のファンの皆様の応援のおかげで続いてきたと思います。「ジャパニーズテイストを世界に発信しよう！」というコンセプトはシリーズ当初からのものです。 15年の時を経て日本のホビー文化を取り巻く環境やフィギュア業界は本当に大きく変わりましたが、BISHOUJOシリーズが「キャラクターの新しい魅力」「素晴らしい作品」に触れるきっかけになってほしい、と思いながら作っています。これからもぜひ応援していただけると嬉しいです！

Kotobukiya's BISHOUJO series celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2024! It's rare for a figure series to continue for this long, so we have to say a huge thank you to the main artist Shunya Yamashita and all the fans who have supported the series. The series has always been about putting a Japanese spin on characters, and in these last 15 years, the culture surrounding Japanese figures and the figure industry as a whole has changed immensely. But our hope that BISHOUJO figures will give fans a chance to learn about new series and see new sides to their favorite characters remains the same. Please, keep up the amazing support!
